Why I love this recipe
Healthy - This is the perfect healthy appetizer or dessert to feed a crowd! It's made with fresh and simple ingredients.
Fun - It's a fun and beautiful way to serve fruit! Cut the fruit into different shapes to make an eye-catching board.
Easily Customizable - The best part is that you can completely customize this board with different seasonal fruit, a variety of fruit dips, and you can even add cookies, pretzels, chocolate, or other bite sized treats!
Save Money - Sure you could go out and buy a pre-made fruit platter, but they're expensive! In my opinion it's a better deal to purchase the fruit separately and prepare at home.
🍴Ingredient Notes
This Charcuterie Board consists mostly of fresh fruit, but you could also add nuts, crackers, cookies, pretzels, or dark chocolate!
I suggest adding some kind of dip, honey, or whipped cream as well!
- Raspberries - Raspberries are very delicate so I like putting them in a small bowl.
- Green Grapes - Use scissors to cut into smaller bunches.
- Strawberries - You can leave them whole or cut in half the long way.
- Oranges - Cut into thin slices.
- Blueberries
- Apples - Cut into thin slices.
- Honey
- Fruit Dip - I used my Nut-Free Chocolate Spread, but any fruit dip will work!

🍴Step by Step Instructions
Step 1: Clean & Prepare Fruit
Start by cleaning the fruit. I like to wash the apples and soak the berries in water with apple cider vinegar for about 10 minutes. Finish by rinsing well and pat dry.
Step 2: Cut Fruit
Next, cut apples and oranges into thin slices.
Step 3: Assemble Charcuterie Board
To prepare the charcuterie board, add 2-3 small bowls onto the board first. Then lay the apple and orange slices around the bowls.
Fill in the gaps with small piles of each fruit until you fill the entire board.
Step 4: Add Dips
When you're ready to serve, pour the fruit dip and honey into the small bowls.
Where should I serve my Fruit Charcuterie Board?
- Baby Showers
- Game Day
- Date Night
- Birthday Parties
- Valentine's Day
- Christmas Morning
- Easter Brunch
- Thanksgiving
Expert Tips
- Use small bowls and larger pieces of fruit first and then fill in the gaps with smaller fruit like strawberries or blueberries.
- Save the grape bunches for the end! I like places them in awkward open spots.
- Don't stress! You can't go wrong with a charcuterie board. Just keep adding small sections of fruit until the board is completely covered.
- Do not leave open spots on the board. If you run out of fruit you can add nuts, dark chocolate, cookies, or crackers to fill in the gaps.
- Don't fill the bowls with dips and honey until you're ready to serve.
- To transfer the board easily, wrap tightly with plastic wrap to keep it fresh and in place.
Charcuterie Board Variations
Board - I used a long rectangular wooden board, but you can also use a round or square board. I have also seen marble or stone charcuterie boards for an elevated look!
Dips - Any sweet dip will work with this recipe! I suggest trying my Dairy-Free Chocolate Spread or Caramel Apple Dip.
You can also use honey, coconut whipped cream, Edible Cookie Dough or Edible Brownie Batter!
Colors - Use a variety of seasonal fresh fruit to add different pops of color to your board.
Shapes - Cut and prepare each fruit differently to make your board look unique.
How to store leftovers
Store leftover fruit in a large airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. You can also separate the fruit into smaller containers.
Store fruit dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Each dip will vary on how long it will last in the refrigerator.
