Date Snickers are a much healthier version of the classic Snickers candy bar. You only need four simple ingredients, and about 10 minutes to make them! They're a great treat for anyone who is Vegan, Dairy-Free, or Gluten-Free.

🍴Ingredient Notes
- Medjool Dates - I love Natural Delights dates - they have the option to purchase pitted or you can pit them yourself.
- Crunchy Peanut Butter - If you're nut free you can swap for Sunbutter. Any nut butter will work for this recipe. (Almond, Cashew, etc.)
- Dark Chocolate Chips - You can also swap for 100% chocolate chips to cut down on sugar. I love the brands Hu Kitchen and Pascha for vegan & soy-free dark chocolate.
- Flaky Sea Salt - This isn't necessary, but I recommend you try! I love the brand Maldon Flaky Sea Salt.
🍴Step by Step Instructions
Step 1: Preparing Dates
Start by cutting down the middle of each date. (The long way.) Remove the pit and place on a parchment paper lined plate.
Step 2: Stuffing Dates
Next, use a spoon to stuff each date with a generous amount of peanut butter.
Step 3: Chocolate Drizzle
Finally, drizzle melted dark chocolate over each date.
Step 4: Chilling & Serving
Freeze the dates for 10-15 minutes and serve with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt. (Store chilled.)
Expert Tips

The date snickers are addictive.
I must confess I substituted almond butter for the peanut butter and used 90% Lindt chocolate. Makes a great little dessert after a meal that satisfies the sweet tooth.
