Why You'll Love This Recipe
Beat the summer heat with these delicious orange vanilla popsicles!
I love making popsicles at home because you can achieve similar results to store bought popsicles without all the extra additives, food dyes, and ingredients you can't pronounce.
Healthy
If you're looking to satisfy your sweet tooth with something that's made with clean ingredients, you'll love these healthy popsicles! The best part is you only 3 simple ingredients!
These healthy popsicles are made with vanilla collagen powder, fresh orange puree, and coconut yogurt. They're high protein, low sugar, and dairy-free.
Easy
The best part about this recipe is that it's super easy to make! Just blend all the ingredients together, pour into popsicle molds, and freeze for 4-6 hours. (The hardest part is waiting for them to freeze.)
Kid Friendly
This simple recipe is great to make with kids! The smaller popsicle molds are perfect for kid sized portions, but you can also make larger popsicles if you want a heartier treat.
Side note: Both popsicle molds linked include the wooden sticks!
High Protein
Each mini popsicle has about 5 grams of protein. You can also make four larger popsicles which would have about 10 grams of protein per popsicle.
Keep in mind that the size of your molds will change the serving size of this recipe!
🍴Ingredient Notes
- Orange Puree - To make fresh orange puree, you will need 1-2 oranges. You can also swap for orange juice, but you'll lose the fiber from the pulp.
- Plain Coconut Yogurt - Any type of yogurt that's plain or vanilla will work with this recipe. (Choose unsweetened yogurt to keep the popsicles low sugar.)
- Vanilla Collagen Powder - I used Primal Kitchen Vanilla Collagen, but any vanilla collagen will work!
Recipe Variations
Fruit
You can make a variety of flavors by changing up the fruit! Fresh strawberries, blueberries, watermelon, pineapple, kiwi, or cherries would also taste delicious.
Protein
If you're not dairy-free, swap for Greek Yogurt to give them an extra boost of protein!
You can also add in extra collagen powder or use a scoop of protein powder. (Just give the mixture a taste test before pouring into the molds.)
If you add too much protein powder it will change the popsicle texture.
Chocolate
Dip the protein popsicles in melted dark chocolate or white chocolate to make them extra special!
You could also just dip the corner of each popsicle in chocolate and grate fresh orange zest on the melted chocolate. Or just drizzle the chocolate on top for a fancier look!
