🍴Ingredient Notes
- Chicken Breast - I like using chicken tenders because they easily fit in a small wrap, but you can also use chicken breast cut into thin strips. Cook on a skillet, grill, or use pre-cooked rotisserie chicken!
- Bacon - Butcher Box and Applegate are my two favorite bacon brands.
- Lettuce - You can use spring mix, romaine, butter lettuce, or iceberg!
- Cherry Tomatoes - Any tomato will work with this recipe, but I love cherry tomatoes cut in half.
- Ranch Dressing - My favorite dressing brand is Primal Kitchen because they're dairy-free and use clean ingredients.
- Grain-Free Wraps - I used the brand Siete. Any tortillas will work!
Don't have wraps? Make this meal into a salad! Also, feel free to add your favorite dairy free cheese for an extra layer of flavor.
🍴How to make Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps
- Cook the bacon in a skillet on medium heat until crispy. Place on a paper towel lined plate to absorb excess fat. Drain most of the fat and use the same pan to cook the chicken.
- Next, warm the tortillas on a frying pan or in the microwave. (This will make them more pliable.)
- Then add chicken, bacon, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, and ranch dressing into each wrap. Fold tight to keep ingredients inside.
- Place each wrap face down on a hot skillet. Flip when golden brown and serve warm. (I don't use oil!)
Expert Tips
- The tortillas must be warmed up prior to rolling them or else they will crack and fall apart. I usually heat them in the microwave for about 20 seconds.
- Do not use oil in the pan when heating the tortillas. The wraps will firm up with just a few seconds of heat.
- Marinate the chicken in the ranch dressing for extra flavor!
- Place the tortillas folded side DOWN on the skillet.
- Make sure skillet has pre-heated before adding the wraps.
- Use tongs to flip the tortillas.
- Do not overstuff the tortillas or they will fall apart in the pan.
- Save time by using leftover chicken or rotisserie chicken.
Frequently Asked Questions
You can prepare all of the ingredients the morning of or day before. Assemble and cook the wraps before serving. You can also cook and wrap with tin foil to pack in lunches!
No! I don't use any oil. Just pre-heat the pan and place the wrap folded side down for a few minutes. Flip and cook until golden brown on each side.
I have not personally tried this, but I believe it would work! Use the same cooking method. Flip when golden brown. (They will probably cook faster.)
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the ranch dressing for at least 1 hour before cooking or overnight! (Store in refrigerator in an airtight container.)
How to store leftovers
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. (In an airtight glass container.) They're best served fresh, so I like to make just enough for what I'll need that day.
