Pizza Bowls are everything you know and love about pizza, just without the crust! Plus, they're flavorful and super easy to prepare. They're great for anyone who is gluten free, dairy free, or low carb.

2CupsChopped Green Peppers
1CupDiced Sweet Onion
1CupChopped Mushrooms
2ClovesGarlic, ChoppedYou can also grate the garlic into the pan to avoid chopping.
1TablespoonOlive Oil
Spices
½TeaspoonSalt
½TeaspoonItalian Seasoning
Optional
¾CupDairy Free Cheese
¼CupFreshly Chopped Basil
Instructions
Start by sauteing chopped onions and chopped garlic cloves on medium heat with olive oil. After a few minutes add in ground beef, salt, and Italian seasoning. Break up the meat into small crumbles using a wooden spoon.
After the beef is about halfway cooked through, add in the green peppers and mushrooms. (And any other vegetables you'd like to add!) Stir around for a few minutes.
Next, pour sauce into the pan and stir around. Pour the mixture into one large casserole dish or individual ramekins. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
If you'd like to add cheese, top before baking! I find that dairy-free cheese takes longer to melt. If you're using regular cheese or shredded cheese, add it to the top for the last 10 minutes.
Serve hot as is or with your favorite gluten-free pasta!

Expert Tips
Get creative with the toppings! Feel free to customize this dish with your favorite vegetables and meat.
Make sure the ground beef is cooked through before baking.
Add cheese on top for the last 10 minutes of baking so it's gooey and golden-brown!
If you use smaller individual ramekins, they will need about half the baking time.
How to store leftovers
Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 4-5 days. If you used ramekins, cover with plastic wrap.** See full post for more information and step by step instructions!
