Teriyaki Beef Bowls come together in about 30 minutes, and you only need a few ingredients! The steak is marinated in a soy-free teriyaki sauce, and they're served with white rice and steamed broccoli. Great for lunch, dinner, or meal prep!
1CupUncooked White RiceI used basmati, but any rice will work!
¼CupTeriyaki SauceI love Primal Kitchen No Soy Teriyaki Sauce.
2-3TablespoonsGreen Onions, Chopped
2TeaspoonsSesame Seeds
Instructions
Marinating Steak
Add steak into a large bowl with teriyaki sauce. Stir around until steak is completely coated in the sauce. Place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Broccoli
Next, steam broccoli florets in a pot until tender. To season, add a pinch of salt and pepper.
Rice
In a separate pot, cook rice according to directions on the package. You'll need at least one cup of dry rice.
Cooking Steak
Cook the steak on a hot skillet for about 6 minutes on each side. (Depending on how well done you like your steak!)
Assembling Bowls
Assemble the bowls by adding in rice, broccoli, and steak cut into thin strips. Top with sesame seeds, extra teriyaki sauce, and chopped green onions.
Notes
**Nutrition facts will vary depending on what Teriyaki Sauce you use!
Expert Tips
Do not over steam the broccoli or it will become mushy. It should be fork tender, but not too soft.
Add 2 cups of cauliflower rice to the pot of white rice to sneak in some extra vegetables!
Steak will continue cooking in the pan when you remove it from the heat, so I like to pull it off when it's a little underdone.
Lightly salt the rice and broccoli.
Drizzle sauce over beef bowls before serving.
