Honey Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings are super juicy and packed with flavor! They're cooked in the air fryer which is my favorite healthier alternative to deep frying. This is the perfect appetizer to serve at parties or on game day!
Start by whisking together the honey, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
Next, pour the raw chicken wings into the large bowl with the lemon marinade. Mix together until they are fully coated.
Place the chicken wings on a parchment paper lined tray or a greased air fryer basket. Air fry at 375 degrees for about 18-20 minutes.
Serve hot with an extra drizzle of honey!
Notes
Wing Tips
Marinate the chicken overnight in the refrigerator for a stronger flavor. (Make sure you cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a reusable cover.)
For best results, pat dry chicken with paper towels before adding to the marinade.
Drizzle extra honey on top of the cooked wings.
If you don't have an air fryer, bake the wings at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Use a meat thermometer to make sure the chicken has cooked through. The internal temperature should be 165 degrees.
For an extra kick of spice, use hot honey instead of regular honey!
To make sure they're super crispy, flip the wings halfway through air frying.
How to store & reheat leftovers
Leftover wings should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.To reheat, microwave for about 60 seconds or air fry at 350 degrees for about 2-3 minutes.**See full post for more information and step by step photos.
