Sautéed Sweet Potato

Sautéed Sweet Potatoes are a super easy and flavorful side dish! They're great with breakfast, lunch, or dinner recipes.

Equipment

  • 1 Cast Iron Skillet Or any large non-stick skillet.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 Cups Cubed Sweet Potato
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • ½ Teaspoon Paprika

Instructions
 

  • Start by peeling and cubing sweet potato into small bite sized pieces.
  • Next, add cubed sweet potato into a bowl with olive oil, salt, and paprika. Stir until potatoes are evenly coated.
  • Then add seasoned potatoes to a pre-heated cast iron skillet. (Use more oil as needed.) Stir around and cover for a few minutes. Repeat until potatoes are soft with crispy edges.

Notes

Expert Tips

  • Use a cast iron skillet for this recipe! I find they're a great non-toxic and non-stick option for cooking.
  • Peel the potatoes before cutting. Although it's not necessary, it tastes better without the skin.
  • Pre-heat the skillet before adding the potatoes. This will help to give them a crispy edge.
  • Cover the pan in-between stirring! This will steam the potatoes and cook them faster.
